Project overview

In 2024 Tongwei supplied energy metering and building control for Weinan New Energy Big Data Center. Floor electricity, building water, park gas and underground parking ventilation sit in one system. About eleven above-ground floors feed three-phase metering; the platform totals forward energy by day, month and year, and can break out uses such as cooling and office lighting. Building water meters and park gas meters onboard through third-party interfaces to support monthly water-electricity-gas accounting and abnormal-usage monitoring. Two underground parking levels have carbon monoxide sensing; ventilation fans show run and fault status, with remote control and automatic control from gas concentration. Edge gateways and I/O modules handle acquisition and interlock; the centre uses energy management and the IoT platform for dashboards, reports and alarms.

Main functions delivered

  1. Per-floor electricity: about 11 floors with three-phase capture of voltage, current, power and power factor
  2. Monthly accounting: day, month and year totals of forward and combined active energy for water-electricity-gas reporting
  3. End-use split: active energy for cooling, office lighting and similar loads to attribute consumption
  4. Water and gas: building water and park gas join the same platform via interfaces; abnormal usage is monitored
  5. Garage gas: live CO on parking levels 1 and 2, with threshold alarms
  6. Fan control: ventilation run and fault visible; remote control; auto start/stop from CO

The problem

At Weinan New Energy Big Data Center, water, electricity and gas rely on master meters or scattered manual reads, so accounts only line up at month-end. Parking-garage CO and fans depend on on-site duty, so usage spikes, fan faults and poor ventilation surface late.

What we connected

  • Per-floor three-phase metering and end-use splits such as cooling and office lighting
  • Building water meters, park gas meters and monthly water-electricity-gas accounting
  • Carbon monoxide monitoring in the underground garage
  • Basement ventilation fans — run status, faults, remote and automatic control
  • Edge gateways, I/O modules and energy / IoT management platforms

What we did

  • Build floor metering topology and end-use splits first, then water and gas interfaces so monthly accounting sits on one board
  • On electricity, check ratios, comms, gaps and spikes so data issues do not wait for month-end
  • Place CO points by parking level; fan circuits on I/O modules so remote and automatic share the same outputs
  • Usage anomalies and gas breaches raise alarms and notifications, with a recorded close-out

How it was rolled out

  1. Confirm floor meters, building water, park gas and underground fan circuits
  2. Connect several floors of meters and monthly reports first; check data quality
  3. Then onboard water and gas interfaces, and commission garage CO with fan control
  4. Enable abnormal-usage and gas alarms for park energy and property duty

Outcome

  • Floor electricity visible by floor and end use; monthly water-electricity-gas can be tallied
  • Abnormal usage can be found in the current period instead of waiting for month-end
  • Garage CO and fan status sit in one view
  • Fans can be controlled remotely, act automatically from gas level, and fault-alarm
