Energy metering and building control for a municipal water-utility headquarters

Delivered in 2025. About 12 floors plus the roof with per-floor electricity; live work, domestic and total water; park gas in the same monthly report; fresh-air units with status and remote control; underground garage environment trends.

  • Our role: Equipment and platform supply
  • Delivered 2025
  • A municipal water-utility headquarters

Project overview

In 2025 Tongwei supplied energy metering and building control for a municipal water-utility headquarters. Floor electricity, classified water, park gas and fresh-air control sit on one system. About twelve floors and the roof report electricity by floor. Work water, domestic water and total water update live, with cumulative, daily and monthly volumes. Park gas joins the same totals. The platform issues a monthly energy report. Fresh-air and supply/exhaust fans on each floor show run, fault and auto/manual status; remote start/stop is available in auto, while manual stays at the local panel. The underground garage is viewed on a plan, and environment change can be reviewed over time. Gateways near each floor and the basement onboard meters and fan circuits.

Main functions delivered

  1. Floor electricity: about 12 floors and the roof, with energy and link status per floor
  2. Classified water: live work, domestic and total water, with cumulative, daily and monthly volumes
  3. Park gas: whole-park gas consumption in the same energy totals
  4. Monthly report: an energy report each month, with day and week views as well
  5. Fresh-air control: each unit shows run, fault and auto/manual; remote start/stop when in auto
  6. Garage environment: fans and environment points on a plan, with change over time

Project list

The list is published without prices or contacts.

Floor and park energy

Category Item Model Qty Use
Metering Floor and substation electricity meters As installed 116 unit Sub-metering for about 12 floors, the roof, basement and LV distribution
Metering Classified water meters As installed 21 unit Live work, domestic and total water
Metering Park gas Gas meter onboarding Park Whole-park gas in the monthly energy totals
Onboarding Per-floor acquisition gateway BEC6300 Per floor Onboards electricity and water near each floor and the basement

Fresh-air building control

Category Item Model Qty Use
Control Fresh-air and supply/exhaust fans On-site fan circuits Per floor Run, fault and auto/manual; remote start/stop in auto
Control I/O module IOC Per fan circuit Start/stop output; run, fault and auto/manual feedback

Underground garage and reports

Category Item Model Qty Use
Environment Garage environment and fan plan As installed Basement level Fan status and environment change on a plan, with history
Platform Energy and building-control software TW-SmartView 1 set Floor navigation, live monitoring, and month, week and day reports

The problem

Floor electricity, work and domestic water, and park gas are read separately, so accounts only line up at month-end. Fresh-air units need a site visit to see run and fault, and garage environment change has no continuous record.

What we connected

  • Electricity meters on each floor and the roof
  • Meters for work water, domestic water and total water
  • Park gas consumption
  • Fresh-air and supply/exhaust fans: run, fault, auto/manual and remote start/stop
  • Underground garage environment points and the monthly energy report

What we did

  • Connect floor electricity and water meters at the gateway, keeping work, domestic and total water separate
  • Park gas joins floor water and electricity so the monthly energy report is one set of numbers
  • Fresh-air circuits on I/O modules: run, fault and auto/manual are separate points; remote start/stop only in auto
  • Garage points sit on a plan so environment change is stored, not left only on site

How it was rolled out

  1. Confirm floor meters, the three water categories, park gas and fresh-air circuits
  2. Connect electricity and water on several floors first and check daily and monthly figures
  3. Then onboard park gas and per-floor fresh-air remote control, and turn on the monthly report
  4. Bring garage environment points onto the same platform and check the plan against history

Outcome

  • Floor electricity, classified water and park gas sit on one platform
  • A monthly energy report replaces month-end manual reconciliation as the only record
  • Each fresh-air unit's status is visible remotely, and can be controlled remotely in auto
  • Underground garage environment change can be reviewed over time

If your site is similar

Send floor count, electricity and water meter lists (whether work, domestic and total water are separate), the gas-meter protocol, and whether fresh-air panels already have run, fault and auto/manual terminals.
